Wastepaper Sludge Ash and Acid Tar as Activated Filler Aggregates for Stone Mastic Asphalt

چکیده

Nowadays, the most common ways to dispose of acid tars and paper production waste are burial or incineration, but it is ecologically economically expedient use such in building materials. A new variant filler aggregate—wastepaper sludge ash (paper waste) a chemical activator for aggregates—acid tar (oil-refining industry proposed. Elemental mineralogical compositions wastepaper comparison with commodity limestone mineral powder established. Chemical activation was carried out wetting properties obtained materials were investigated by means primary neutralized tar. The physical mechanical stone mastic asphalt samples different aggregate variants studied. possible transformations using activated shown. possibility replacing traditional industrial has been proven, effectiveness activating aggregates confirmed. It established that as an does not require neutralization because asphalt, this case, demonstrates better compared neutralization. As result our research, application asphalt. And obtain improved characteristics, required activate 5 wt.%

Stone Mastic Asphalt Pavement Technology for the New Millennium

Since the 1960s, Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) pavement surfaces have been used successfully in Germany on heavily trafficked roads. Because of its excellent performance characteristics, road authorities in Germany as well as major European Countries quickly adopted SMA as a standard wearing course. As a consequence of an asphalt study tour in Europe of an American delegation in 1990, SMA test sec...

Stone mastic asphalt: assessing the effect of cellulose fibre additives

& Currently, in the UK, there is considerable interest in the fact that a German bituminous surfacing mixture known as stone mastic asphalt may possess levels of in-service performance that resist the growing incidence of premature failure experienced by traditional materials such as hot rolled asphalt. A high stone content grading requires the use of a stabilizing additive to ensure long-term ...

Estimation the Fatigue Number of Stone Mastic Asphalt Mixtures Modified with Nano SiO2 and Nano TiO2

Asphalt modification/reinforcement has received considerable attention as viable solutions to enhance flexible pavement performance. This is mainly prompted by the unsatisfactory performance of traditional road materials exposed to dramatic increases and changes in traffic patterns. This paper presents the evaluation of fatigue behaviour of nano reinforced Stone Mastic Asphalt mixtures. Fatigue...

Macroscopic constitutive law for Mastic Asphalt Mixtures from multiscale modeling

A well established framework of an uncoupled hierarchical modeling approach is adopted here for the prediction of macroscopic material parameters of the Generalized Leonov (GL) constitutive model intended for the analysis of flexible pavements at both moderate and elevated temperature regimes. To that end, a recently introduced concept of a statistically equivalent periodic unit cell (SEPUC) is...

Preparation and Characterization of Activated Carbon derived from olive stone as adsorbent for Congo Red

Carbon activated powdered was prepared from activated carbon derived from olive stone. Then byusing the surface methodology, many parameters such as pH, furnace temperature (T), acid ratio, time of activation that affect on the qualities prepared activated carbon produced and its efficiencywere investigated. In addition, the adsorption of Congo Red onto the activated olive stone carbonactive was...
